Do you teach Religious Education?

"Holistic" approach of education is adopted at Saint Mary’s Orthodox College in order to assist and guide every learner to form a complete and distinctive personality but also be an active social member involved in the community in which he/she lives. For that purpose, learners are encouraged to communicate well and effectively, assume responsibilities and lead by example. Consequently, all learners in the Secondary Divisions are invited to elect a class representative for every section. Accordingly, elected representatives will form the Learners' Committee starting the beginning of every scholastic year and according to the bylaws stated below. The Learners' Committee represents Secondary learners and speaks for them while reflecting and transmitting their points of view, wishes and concerns to the School's administration. Simultaneously, it seeks to develop a sense of cohesion among the learners of the Secondary Division as well as between them and the School's Administration.

Do you provide healthy food to your learners?

We avoid as much as possible selling junk food to the students. The school tuck shop sells pastry, candies, soft drinks and most important, home made sandwiches, in order to encourage students to consume healthy food. We also have occasional food sales organized by the students themselves, where they sell fresh fruits, fruit juice as well as homemade cake. The money collected from these food sales is used for the social outreach in which the students are involved.
